A Catholic Secondary School in the Leeds/Bradford area are seeking a qualified teacher of RE for a maternity leave starting in September 2016 (or as soon as possible). Although this is a temporary post there could be the opportunity for a permanent post at the school in the future.
The academy/ local area
The academy is an 11-18 secondary Catholic school that is well known for its high achieving pupils, calm atmosphere and exemplary behaviour. Located within an easy commute of both Leeds and Bradford, the school is easy to reach by both car and public transport.
The Role:
The role is for a full time teacher of RE. The start date is September 2016 but could start sooner for the right candidate. The position would suit either a fully qualified teacher or newly qualified teacher.
You would be teaching RE at KS3 and GCSE level, and as it is within a Catholic academy, a practising Catholic OR someone with experience/knowledge of the Catholic RE curriculum is essential. The academy is high achieving and the ethos aims to ensure all pupils receive a sound instruction in the Catholic Faith through RE lessons but the practice of Christian principles is far more important than knowledge of them.
Daily pay rates are up to £187 (depending on experience) and all candidates working through Teaching Personnel have access to a wealth of CPD training courses including; Effective Behaviour Management, Planning forr Progression, Literacy Across the Curriculum, SEND etc.
