RE (Religious Education) Teacher Vacancy in a Catholic Academy in Liverpool

  • Catholic Academy, East Liverpool
  • Fixed term contract (5 months)
  • Pay negotiable depending on experience (M1, £22,467-UPS3, £38,250)

A popular Catholic Academy is seeking to appoint a dedicated, enthusiastic, reliable and passionate RE (Religious Education) Teacher for a 5 month fixed term contract (Feb-Jul 2017) covering a planned absence in their Humanities department.

The School:

A Christian Academy, joint Catholic and C of E that serves a diverse catchment area, with the vast majority of students hailing from the local areas of Garston, Speke and Woolton. The school is a co-educational mixed secondary for years 7 to 11 including a Sixth Form. The school boasts excellent facilities in a state of the art building which is extremely impressive; in addition, being part of the Liverpool Archdiocese Catholic cluster, it presents excellent opportunities for professional growth and support

The Position:

- 5 month fixed term placement (Feb-Jul 2017)

- Full-time, Mon-Fri (allocated PPA/Planning time)

- KS3/4 RE (new AQA RE Spec.)

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
