Job description
Teaching Personnel are currently working with a secondary school based in Stoke-on-Trent who are looking for a full time Religious Education Teacher to start in January. About the role:
- Start-date: 5th January
- Ongoing/long-term role with opportunity for a permanent contract
- Teaching across KS3 and GCSE curriculum
The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages and GCSE curriculum. Responsibilities include planning and delivering the RE curriculum, assessing student progress, and creating a supportive classroom environment. The teacher will encourage exploration of moral and ethical issues, facilitate discussions on world religions, and promote spiritual development. Collaboration with colleagues to enrich cross-curricular learning and participation in school events is essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, a commitment to inclusive education, and a genuine enthusiasm for the subject.
What we’re looking for:
- QTS with background in Religious Studies
- Experience teaching RE across all Key Stages (trainee teacher placements included)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with both students and staff
- Ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel confident to explore and learn about different religions
- Good knowledge of behaviour management and current teaching techniques

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
