Teaching Personnel is recruiting a dedicated Religious Education teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Stockport. This is an exciting opportunity for an RE specialist looking to inspire young minds and contribute to a well-rounded curriculum that fosters critical thinking and cultural awareness.
The role:

Deliver engaging and thought-provoking RE lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4

Prepare students for GCSE RE qualifications with thorough planning and assessment

Support students’ spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development

Collaborate with colleagues to develop a rich and inclusive curriculum

Contribute to extra-curricular activities, such as RE clubs or faith awareness events

Participate in school meetings, professional development, and pastoral support
We are looking for someone who:

Has a minimum of 1 year of teaching experience in a secondary school environment

Holds relevant qualifications in Religious Education or Theology
-
Demonstrates excellent classroom management and student engagement skills
-
Is passionate about fostering respect, tolerance, and open-mindedness among students
-
Is proactive, adaptable, and works well within a team

Has experience preparing students for GCSE assessments
