Location: Monmouthshire, South Wales
Pay Rate: £172.98 per day
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Contract: End of academic year
About the Role
A respected secondary school in Monmouthshire is seeking a dedicated Religious Education Teacher to join their Humanities department from November 2025. This is a rewarding opportunity to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential to teach Key Stage 5 if desired.
You’ll be delivering engaging and reflective RE lessons that encourage students to explore diverse beliefs, ethical questions, and philosophical ideas. The school prides itself on a supportive culture, strong leadership, and a collaborative teaching environment, with access to ongoing professional development.
Whether you're a Newly Qualified Teacher (ECT/NQT) or bring years of classroom experience, your enthusiasm and subject knowledge will be highly valued.
What We’re Looking for?
We welcome applications from individuals who:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or completing their induction and seeking a part-time opportunity to re-engage with classroom teaching
- Have proven experience teaching Humanities subjects at KS3/KS4 (KS5 desirable)
- Can create an inclusive and positive learning environment
- Possess excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Monitor student progress and provide effective feedback
Requirements
Teaching Personnel can provide guidance to help you obtain:
- Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
- Level 2 Safeguarding training
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
- At least two professional references covering 24 months employment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
