Pay: £92.63 per day
Start Date: 1st June 2026
End Date: July 2026 (with potential to continue into September 2026)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm

About the Role
Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Cardiff. This is a full-time position where you will play a key role in supporting both the class teacher and pupils, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment.

The ideal candidate will be adaptable, proactive, and committed to supporting children’s learning and development. You’ll be expected to use your initiative, provide support where needed, and ensure pupils remain engaged and on track throughout the school day.

This two-form entry primary school, located in the CF24 area, has a supportive and friendly team of staff. You will be working alongside experienced teachers and teaching assistants who will provide guidance and ongoing feedback. There is potential for this role to extend into the new academic year (September 2026) for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare classrooms and learning materials for lessons
• Provide general classroom support and assist with behaviour management
• Support pupils with their learning and development
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and organised classroom environment

Requirements

• Enhanced Child Only DBS certificate (we can assist with this)
• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
