A school in Forest Gate area of East London (E7) are looking for an Early Years specialist to take their Reception class on a full-time basis beginning after the October half-term.

The Reception teacher is unfortunately off on long-term sickness, and the school have decided that they would like to contact us as an agency to find a replacement candidate. This is so that the school can keep the candidate on timesheets through the agency until February half-term, when the teacher is due to return. The school would like to book the chosen candidate until this point and then if necessary arrange a phased return with the class teacher until the Easter holiday.

The school want someone who specialises in Early Years as it presents a unique set of challenges, and the school prides itself on its strong Phonics teaching and progress scores. The ideal candidate for this role will be familiar and experienced in Phonics teaching as well as guided play teaching techniques amongst other things. An engaging classroom presence is vitally important to the SLT as that is the tone they try and set throughout the school.

The school was rated as GOOD at their last inspection in 2016 and the head has endeavoured to maintain these standards and one day hopes to be graded as an OUTSTANDING school. Therefore, a teacher who is experienced working in Outstanding schools, with a track record of good progress in their classes is what the school is after. However, the school are also to accept NQTs for this role provided that they have substantial experience in Reception/Early Years.

The role is full-time until at least February half-term 2021, so this role is ideal for any candidate looking to make a good and lasting impression at a top school.

Apply by submitting a CV, and Teaching Personnel will arrange with the school interview and trial days, as well as handover lessons/sessions beginning in October with the current class teacher.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
