Teaching Personnel are seeking a Reading Recovery Teacher on behalf of a Primary School in L21.
As a Reading Tutor, you will be working closely (in person) with students either on a 1:1 basis or in small groups of up to six pupils. You will be delivering phonics and reading sessions to students across Key Stage 1 & 2 who are currently working below age-related expectations for reading.
The working hours will be within the hours of 08:30-15:30 Monday to Friday, timetables and hours will be confirmed in collaboration with school and the successful tutor. The tutor would be delivering pre-planned phonics/reading comprehension schemes. Tutors will additionally be responsible for completing sessional feedback forms for their students on a weekly basis.
Rate of pay is competitive and would vary between £25 - £35 per hour (depending upon group size and experience). This role starts in September and will continue until December 2023 in the first instance, although it is likely that this role will continue into the remainder of the academic year.
The school is welcoming applications for teachers/tutors who are primary trained or who have experience of delivering reading intervention sessions, however, Secondary English Specialists are also encouraged to apply.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
