Job Opportunity: Primary School SEN Teacher (Full-Time)
Location: Luton
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
We are looking for a caring and committed Qualified Primary School Teacher to join our team, supporting children with autism, including both verbal and non-verbal learners.
Key Responsibilities:

Assess and monitor children’s learning and development across the primary age range
-
Deliver and adapt lessons to meet the individual needs of children with SEN
-
Follow and implement behaviour support plans to help children manage triggers and develop positive behaviours
-
Create a nurturing and structured classroom environment with clear routines and expectations

Work closely with support staff to provide effective, personalised support to each child
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience or interest in primary education
-
Experience working with or enthusiasm for supporting children with autism (verbal and non-verbal)
-
A patient, kind, and gentle approach, suited to working with young children
-
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate well with colleagues, support staff, and families

Skills to differentiate lessons and activities to engage all learners effectively

Availability to work full-time

Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (can be arranged through Teaching Personnel)

Two professional references covering the last 24 months

Overseas Police Check (if applicable — for those who have lived outside the UK for 6+ months in the last 5 years)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
