About the Role
We are seeking an ambitious and dedicated Science Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Harrow. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students and deliver engaging lessons across the Science curriculum (Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics).
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable)
- Teach specialism (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics) where applicable
- Monitor, assess, and track student progress effectively
- Prepare students for GCSE (and A-Level, if applicable) examinations
- Create a positive and engaging classroom environment
- Contribute to the wider school community and extracurricular activities
- Ensure health and safety standards are met within laboratory settings
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Degree in a Science-related subject
- Experience teaching Science in a UK secondary school (ECTs welcome)
- Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
- Ability to engage and motivate learners of all abilities
- Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare
Desirable
- Ability to teach A-Level Science
- Experience in a specific specialism (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics)
- Knowledge of current curriculum developments
