Role Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Maths Teacher to join one of our partnership secondary schools in Newport. This is a full-time teaching position running from January 2026 until the end of the academic year. The successful candidate will deliver engaging maths lessons, inspire students to achieve their full potential, and contribute positively to the wider school community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Maths lessons aligned with the curriculum
• Monitor, assess, and track student progress effectively
• Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment
• Build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents
• Provide tailored support to meet the needs of all learners
• Engage in ongoing professional development and school initiatives
Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to inspire, motivate, and challenge students
• Enhanced Child-Only DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Registration with the Education Workforce Council
• Right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
