Location: Smethwick, Secondary School 

Start Date: Autumn Term 2025 

Salary: MPS/UPS 


About the role: 

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Psychology Teacher to join a forward-thinking secondary school in the Smethwick area. This is an exciting opportunity to teach motivated students in a school that prides itself on strong academic outcomes and a supportive learning environment. You will be part of a welcoming and well-established department that values creativity, discussion and helping students connect psychological theory to everyday life. Both ECTs and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply.

Role Responsbilites: 

  • Deliver engaging and well-structured Psychology lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5

  • Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that supports student progress

  • Plan, assess and adapt lessons to meet the needs of all learners

  • Contribute to departmental planning and wider school initiatives where appropriate

  • Maintain high standards of behaviour management and safeguarding at all times

Role Requirements: 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Experience teaching Psychology at secondary or sixth form level

  • A valid DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through Teaching Personnel

  • Strong communication skills, a positive attitude and a genuine passion for helping students succeed
