Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant - Scarborough

As a Teaching Assistant with Teaching Personnel in Scarborough, you will join a successful team of staff working within local Special Needs, Primary and Secondary Schools. This role is ideal for any candidates looking to secure full time or part time work, on a flexible basis. You will be working 1:1 and with small groups of students displaying a range of social, emotional and mental health needs, as well as a diagnosis of autism or multi-sensory impairment. This is a great opportunity to gain experience before applying for a Teacher training course, becoming an Education Psychologist or to start your career within the Education sector.
As the ideal candidate, you will have:
- a positive can-do attitude with a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable children
- a calming and nurturing approach to difficult situations, who can act quickly under pressure
- strong behaviour management skills
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- the ability to liaise with colleagues, outside agencies and parents/carers.guardians
