Why Psychology Graduates?

A Psychology degree provides an excellent foundation for understanding child development, behaviour, cognition and emotional wellbeing.

  • A genuine passion for working with children and young people

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Patience, empathy and resilience

  • A calm and consistent approach

  • The ability to build strong professional relationships

  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable, but not essential

What You’ll Gain

  • Practical experience supporting children with SEN

  • A deeper understanding of developmental and educational psychology

  • Valuable experience for future psychology-related applications

  • Training and support from experienced education professionals

  • The opportunity to develop behaviour-management, communication and pastoral skills

  • Experience that can support future applications for Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, teacher training and other child-focused careers

  • The chance to make a genuine difference to a young person's education and wellbeing
