SEN Teaching Assistants – Full-Time Opportunities

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a new opportunity this September?
We’re working with a number of welcoming specialist SEN schools across the Godalming area who are looking for caring, reliable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join their teams on a full-time basis.
These roles offer the chance to work closely with children and young people with a range of additional needs, helping them build confidence, develop independence and make progress both in and outside the classroom.
The Role

Provide 1:1 and small-group support throughout the school day.

Support pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs and other learning difficulties.

Help pupils manage emotions, develop communication skills and engage positively with learning.

Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour.

Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and provide consistent support.

Work alongside teachers, therapists and the wider SEN team to meet individual needs and learning goals.

Contribute to a calm, safe and inclusive school environment.
What We’re Looking For

Previous experience working in an SEN school or similar setting is essential.

Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs.

A calm, patient and resilient approach.
-
Someone who is proactive, reliable and willing to get involved.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.
-
Team Teach training is desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
