Position: Psychology Graduate
Location: Secondary SEMH Provision
Start Date: May 2025
Working Hours: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 3:20 pm
Hourly Rate: £13.75
Contract Type: Initially Temporary (with potential for permanent opportunity)
Are you a passionate Psychology Graduate ready to make a difference in a Secondary SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) Provision? Teaching Personnel is working in close partnership with a supportive SEMH provision, providing the opportunity for a dedicated graduate to contribute to a rewarding educational environment.
As a Psychology Graduate, you'll play a vital role in supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs. Your expertise in psychology will be invaluable in assisting teachers and other professionals in delivering tailored interventions and support strategies to promote students' well-being and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:

Work alongside teachers and other staff to support students' emotional and social development.

Assist with the implementation of individual learning plans and interventions.

Provide a nurturing and safe environment for students to express themselves and engage in learning.

Support in managing challenging behaviours in a positive and constructive manner.

Work with a multidisciplinary team to support the needs of students with SEMH needs.
What We're Looking For:

A degree in Psychology (or equivalent).

Passion for supporting young people with SEMH needs.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team.

A patient, empathetic approach to working with young people facing challenges.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
