Psychology Graduate – SEN Teaching Assistant Opportunities in Wigan

We’re working with a number of inclusive and supportive schools across Wigan who are looking for passionate Psychology Graduates to join their teams as SEN Teaching Assistants. This is the perfect opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting pupils with additional needs, while developing your understanding of behaviour, learning, and emotional development.

Your role will include:

Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis to access learning

Assisting the class teacher in implementing individual learning plans

Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation

Using your psychology background to understand and respond to student needs
You should apply if you:

Hold a degree in Psychology (or a related subject)

Are passionate about child development, mental health, or SEN support

Are empathetic, patient, and eager to learn

Want to gain real-world school experience before pursuing further training
Location: Wigan (various SEN and mainstream schools)
Role: SEN Teaching Assistant (Psychology Graduate)
Start: After half term

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
