Psychology Graduate.
A specialist provision in the Leyland area is looking for a Psychology Graduate to join their fantastic team from February 2024! (Start date: Monday 19th February 2024). This provision provides full-time education for pupils aged 4 to 11 years who have struggled to access the curriculum in a mainstream school, and they also offer short-term placements. This extremely proud provision maintains high expectations and strives to provide the best education possible for their pupils, re-engaging them with learning and ensuring their special educational needs are identified and understood. Their staff are highly skilled, hard-working, and extremely dedicated, placing the needs of the pupils at the heart of everything they do.
As a Psychology Graduate you will be required to provide additional support to pupils in small groups or in some cases, on a 1:1 basis. You will be expected to provide continuous provisions and deliver learning through play sessions to individual pupils, adapting to their Educational Health Care Plans if needed. You must use your skills and knowledge from your degree to acknowledge and support the additional Social, Emotional and Mental health needs. You must be experienced and confident in facing challenging behaviour and you will be required to implement relevant behaviour strategies, maintaining a calm approach at all times.
Requirements:
- Have a degree in Psychology.
- Experience/confidence with handling challenging behaviour.
- A genuine passion for working with and supporting pupils with SEMH.

- Location: Leyland.
- Start date: Monday 19th February 2024.
- Contract type: Temp-perm.
- Working hours: Full time (8:30am-3:30pm, Mon-Fri).
- Pay rate: £11.85 - £12.50 p/h.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
