Psychology Graduates Wanted in SEN Support Roles Across Durham

Just finished your Psychology degree and not sure what's next? Want to actually use what you've learned while figuring out your career path?

Teaching Personnel works with some brilliant schools across Durham - mainstream and specialist - and right now they're looking for Psychology graduates to support students with additional needs. If you're thinking about Educational Psychology, teaching, counselling, or just want meaningful work while you decide, this could be perfect.

What you'll be doing:

• Working directly with students who have Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and other learning differences
• Supporting individuals and small groups to access learning
• Helping implement behaviour plans and supporting emotional regulation
• Using your psychology knowledge to understand what's beneath challenging behaviour
• Assisting teachers to adapt lessons for different learners

You'll fit in if you have:

• A Psychology degree (or something related)
• Patience without being patronising
• Genuine interest in the "why" behind behaviour
• Willingness to learn (experience with kids helps but isn't essential)

Starting: January 2026
Location: Durham (we'll match you with the right setting)
Pay: Competitive daily rate, paid weekly
