PSHE Teacher – Post-16 Students (Bournemouth)
Full Time | Immediate Start – December (potential to continue after Christmas)
We’re looking for a passionate and empathetic PSHE Teacher to join a welcoming college in Bournemouth, working with post-16 learners on a Level 1 Progression programme. This full-time role starts immediately and runs until the end of term, with the possibility of continuing into the new year.
The course supports students who are not yet ready for mainstream vocational programmes, helping them to build confidence, develop essential life skills, and prepare for the next stage of their education or employment. The students you’ll be teaching come from a range of backgrounds – some have diagnosed needs, others have been home schooled, and several present with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs.
We’re seeking someone who can create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment where every young person feels supported and valued.
The ideal candidate will:

Have experience teaching post-16 or college-aged learners

Hold a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent)

Have proven experience supporting students with SEN and/or SEMH needs

Be confident in delivering PSHE and personal development content in creative, practical ways

Be patient, understanding, and committed to helping learners take positive steps forward

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
