Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people? We are urgently seeking a dedicated and resilient PSHE/Humanities Teacher to join an Alternative Provision in Fazakerley, working with Key Stage 3 students who have struggled in mainstream education.
This is a full-time role with strong potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
About the Provision:
This specialist school provides tailored support for students with a range of needs, including those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. Some students may eventually reintegrate into mainstream education, while others remain within the provision for long-term support.
About the Role:
As a PSHE/Humanities Teacher, you will:

Deliver engaging and meaningful PSHE and Humanities lessons that support personal development, emotional wellbeing, and life skills.

Work with students who may present with SEMH needs and require a compassionate, structured approach.

Use effective behaviour management strategies to create a safe, consistent, and supportive learning environment.

Build trusting, respectful relationships with students to help them feel secure and motivated to engage in learning.

Work closely with a skilled and committed team to ensure individualised support and the best possible outcomes for every learner.
About You:
We’re looking for someone who:

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
-
Has experience teaching PSHE, Humanities, or a related subject.

Has a strong understanding of SEMH needs and a passion for supporting vulnerable young people.

Is confident in managing challenging behaviour with empathy and consistency.
-
Is committed to helping students re-engage with education and develop the skills they need for life beyond school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
