A high-achieving secondary school in Brent is seeking a dynamic PSHE and Citizenship Teacher to join their Humanities and Personal Development faculty this September.
This is a unique opportunity to deliver meaningful, thought-provoking lessons that help students understand the world, their place in it, and how to become active, responsible citizens in modern Britain.

As part of a committed team, you will play a key role in delivering a rich, values-led PSHE and Citizenship curriculum to pupils in Key Stages 3 and 4.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, inclusive lessons in PSHE and Citizenship across KS3–KS4

Teach topics such as healthy relationships, online safety, mental health, financial literacy, democracy, human rights and social justice

Adapt lessons to reflect local and global issues, statutory guidance and the school’s values

Encourage critical thinking, respectful debate and inclusive participation

Contribute to the development of the PSHE/Citizenship curriculum in line with DfE frameworks and Ofsted expectations

Collaborate with form tutors and year teams to support whole-school personal development
Candidate Requirements
✔ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS)
✔ Experience teaching PSHE, Citizenship or a related Humanities/Social Sciences subject
✔ Passionate about pastoral care, student welfare and inclusive education
✔ Knowledge of current PSHE and RSE statutory frameworks and Citizenship curriculum requirements
Desirable Experience

Teaching Sociology, Religious Studies or Politics

Leading on wellbeing, mental health or safeguarding initiatives
-
Experience in enrichment or pastoral roles such as Head of Year or DSL

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
