Primary Tutor
Job description
At TP Tutors, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to succeed. We're currently looking for passionate and dedicated Primary Tutors in Hull and the surrounding areas to support pupils who need a little extra help to thrive in their learning.
Whether it’s boosting confidence in reading, supporting numeracy skills, or helping a child engage more fully with their education, your role as a tutor will be a vital part of a young learner’s journey.
Location: Hull and surrounding areas
Pay: £25 – £30 per hour
Driving Licence: Preferred, as some sessions may take place in homes or libraries
What You'll Be Doing:

Deliver tailored 1:1 or small group tuition sessions for Primary-aged pupils.

Plan and adapt lessons based on individual learning needs and goals.

Create a supportive, engaging learning environment that builds confidence and motivation.

Work closely with families and schools to provide consistent academic support.

Follow safeguarding procedures to ensure pupil wellbeing at all times.
What We’re Looking For:

Experience working with Primary-aged children—whether in schools, tutoring, or similar settings.

Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum.

A patient, flexible, and encouraging teaching style.

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
-
Teaching experience in the UK is desirable, but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
