Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant? Are you looking for a Full time position? 

A Head teacher from a 'Good' Primary school located in the S5 area is searching for a committed and passionate LSA to support pupils on a small group and 1 to 1 basis to improve Maths and Literacy. 

The school is looking to interview and trial within the next few weeks so do not hesitate to apply!

You will:

  • Be able to positively challenge students to enable them to reach their highest potential
  • Have a Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant work experience with children with challenging behaviour, either on a 1:1 basis or small groups
  • Training or experience in relevant learning strategies
  • Be able to motivate children who are disengaged from learning
  • Excellent positive behaviour management skills
  • Show initiative and be confident to get involved in all areas of the school
  • Will work under the instruction/guidance of the teacher and other senior staff members, to ensure the care and support of the pupils
  • Will help enable access to learning for the pupils and to assist the teacher in the management of their classroom
  • Working in a well respected primary school in the heart of the community
