Year 1 Teacher (Part-Time)

About the Role

As a Part-Time Year 1 Teacher, you will play an important role in supporting pupils as they transition through KS1, helping to develop strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons in line with the National Curriculum for Year 1

Create a positive, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment

Differentiate learning to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities and learning styles

Assess and monitor pupil progress using formative assessment strategies

Provide clear, supportive feedback to aid pupil development

Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, parents, and colleagues
-
Contribute to planning, meetings, and professional development as required
Person Specification
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
-
Experience teaching in KS1 is desirable, though ECTs are encouraged to apply

Strong behaviour management and classroom organisation skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

A nurturing, patient approach and a passion for early education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
