Year 1 Teacher (Part-Time)

Are you a passionate and dedicated Key Stage 1 teacher seeking a part-time teaching role? We are working with welcoming and supportive primary schools who are looking for a Year 1 Teacher to deliver engaging and inclusive learning experiences during this crucial stage of pupils’ development.

About the Role

As a Part-Time Year 1 Teacher, you will play an important role in supporting pupils as they transition through KS1, helping to develop strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and social skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons in line with the National Curriculum for Year 1

  • Create a positive, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment

  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities and learning styles

  • Assess and monitor pupil progress using formative assessment strategies

  • Provide clear, supportive feedback to aid pupil development

  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, parents, and colleagues

  • Contribute to planning, meetings, and professional development as required

Person Specification

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Experience teaching in KS1 is desirable, though ECTs are encouraged to apply

  • Strong behaviour management and classroom organisation skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • A nurturing, patient approach and a passion for early education
