Year 2 Teacher, Preston
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Year 2 Teacher seeking work in the PR1 area of Preston.
The Head Teacher and Governors of an Ofsted graded ‘GOOD’ primary school in Preston are on the lookout for a strong Key Stage 1 Teacher with prior experience of preparing pupils for their end of KS1 SATs. The role is to start in September 2021 and has arisen due to a recent resignation.
Due to the time of year and pupils’ loss of learning as a result of the national lockdown, the school require a Primary Teacher who is able to take on the role of Year 2 Class Teacher and hit the ground running. In light of this, prior Year 2 experience is essential.
The school is a rapidly improving school which is led by a well organised Head Teacher. Behaviour of pupils is good, and they conduct themselves well throughout school.
The school is smaller than the average-sized primary school. The proportion of pupils who have special educational needs is well above average, as is the proportion of pupils supported by the pupil premium.

Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Prior experience of teaching in Year 2 and of preparing pupils for their KS1 SATs
- High expectations with regards to attitude, attainment and behaviour
- Organisation and commitment to your role within the school
- Enthusiasm and a passion about education and learning
- Creative and engaging yet purposeful approach to teaching and learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
