Part Time Y4 Teacher (0.6)

-          Suitable for experienced or Newly Qualified Teachers

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time (0.6) Y4 classroom teacher at an oversubscribed primary school due to an unexpected resignation. The school are looking to secure an INSPIRATIONAL class teacher. This role is suitable for experienced teachers or newly qualified teachers, this role is perfect for someone with Y4 experience but Y3, Y5 and Y6 teachers should apply. The school operates with collaborative learning and sharing of teaching resources to reduce the planning workload for staff. The school is rated ‘GOOD’ in all areas by Ofsted. It is located just outside of Blackpool town centre, has excellent public transport links available and is easily commutable from surrounding areas such as Fleetwood, Cleveleys, Kirkham, Garstang and Lytham St Anne’s. The percentage of pupils attending the school eligible for pupil premium funding is in line with the national average.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Differentiating for the various needs of the pupils, and teaching accordingly
  • Assessing, monitoring and recording progression
  • Creating a safe and engaging learning environment
  • Managing behaviour effectively
  • Providing feedback to parents or carers, where necessary
  • Undertaking continuous professional development
  • Contributing to the wider life of the school  

The successful candidate will be paid GBP90-GBP140 per day dependant on experience and staff are paid weekly. This is a long-term role until July 2021 with the potential for a permanent role following this academic year. CPD opportunities will be offered to the successful candidate. This part time role is flexible to meet the days preferred by the successful candidate.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
