Primary Teacher

Year 2 Teacher (Part-Time) – East Grinstead
Salary: M1–M6 (pro rata, in line with teacher pay scale)
Days: Wednesday to Friday
Contract: Part-Time | Permanent

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Year 2 Teacher to join our vibrant and dedicated team in East Grinstead. This part-time role (Wednesday to Friday) is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator—whether experienced or newly qualified—committed to delivering creative, inclusive, and engaging learning experiences in Key Stage 1.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons for a Year 2 class

• Create a positive, inclusive classroom culture that supports learning and wellbeing

• Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing feedback and support to help each child thrive

• Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to ensure consistent, high-quality provision

• Support the social, emotional, and personal development of pupils

• Maintain effective classroom management using positive behaviour strategies

• Build strong relationships with parents and carers, communicating pupil progress clearly

• Participate in planning meetings, CPD opportunities, and contribute to school life as appropriate

About You

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

• Strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum, particularly Year 2

• Experience teaching in a primary setting (desirable, though ECTs are welcome to apply)

• A creative and engaging approach to teaching and learning

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Well-organised, proactive, and committed to making a positive impact

• A genuine passion for helping children grow both academically and personally
