Part-Time Year 5 Teacher (0.4) – Crawley 
Start Date: After October Half Term
Location: Crawley, West Sussex
Contract: Permanent | Part-Time (2 days per week – flexible)
Salary: M1–M6 (pro rata, in line with teacher pay scale)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join our welcoming and supportive Key Stage 2 team in Crawley after the October half term. This is a 0.4 part-time permanent role (2 days per week) with flexibility around the days worked – ideal for experienced teachers or ECTs looking for a rewarding and balanced role.

About the Role

• Teach a vibrant and motivated Year 5 class

• Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons aligned to the KS2 curriculum

• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment

• Track and support pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs

• Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, and school leadership

• Support pupils’ wellbeing, behaviour, and personal development

About You

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential

• Experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2 is desirable (but not essential)

• Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum, particularly Year 5

• Positive, creative, and reflective approach to teaching

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• A commitment to making a meaningful impact in the classroom
