Part-Time Year 5 Teacher (0.4) – Crawley
Start Date: After October Half Term
Location: Crawley, West Sussex
Contract: Permanent | Part-Time (2 days per week – flexible)
Salary: M1–M6 (pro rata, in line with teacher pay scale)
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join our welcoming and supportive Key Stage 2 team in Crawley after the October half term. This is a 0.4 part-time permanent role (2 days per week) with flexibility around the days worked – ideal for experienced teachers or ECTs looking for a rewarding and balanced role.
About the Role

Teach a vibrant and motivated Year 5 class

Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons aligned to the KS2 curriculum

Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment

Track and support pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs

Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, and school leadership

Support pupils’ wellbeing, behaviour, and personal development
About You

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential

Experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2 is desirable (but not essential)

Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum, particularly Year 5

Positive, creative, and reflective approach to teaching

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
