Supply Teacher
Location: Cardiff
Pay: £172.98 per day (holiday pay included)

The Role

We are seeking qualified and confident teachers to work as Supply Teachers across primary and secondary schools in Cardiff. This role is ideal for adaptable professionals who can maintain continuity of learning, engage pupils effectively, and uphold high classroom standards in the absence of the regular class teacher.

As a Supply Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting schools by delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with provided lesson plans

  • Maintain positive behaviour management and a focused classroom environment

  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of different learners

  • Provide feedback to the class teacher on pupil progress and behaviour

  • Work collaboratively with school staff to support pupils’ learning and wellbeing

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Sound knowledge of the UK National Curriculum

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

  • Additional subject-specific qualifications

  • Flexibility and confidence working in a variety of school settings
