Primary Supply Teacher – Southport (PR9)

Ideal for ECTs or teachers returning to the classroom

Are you an Early Career Teacher, a recently qualified primary teacher, or someone looking to return to teaching after a career break?

Supply teaching is an excellent way to build confidence, gain valuable classroom experience and re familiarise yourself with the primary curriculum while maintaining flexibility. Teaching Personnel is working closely with a network of supportive primary schools across Southport (PR9) and is offering structured supply opportunities designed to support teachers at all stages of their career.


About the role

You will be placed in local primary schools providing cover for short term absences, planned release time and occasional longer term needs. All work is based on your availability, confidence level and preferred key stage.

Opportunities are available across:

  • EYFS
  • Key Stage 1
  • Key Stage 2
  • Day to day and short term supply
  • Occasional longer term placements where desired

Pre planned lessons are typically provided, allowing you to focus on behaviour management, classroom routines and delivering engaging learning.


This role is ideal if you

  • Are an ECT looking to gain broader classroom experience
  • Are returning to teaching after time away
  • Want to explore different school settings before committing long term
  • Would benefit from flexibility while rebuilding confidence

Requirements

  • QTS or working towards a UK recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience within a UK primary classroom or placement setting
  • A positive, flexible attitude and willingness to learn
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
