Pay: £77-87 per day

As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant with Teaching Personnel, you will have the opportunity to work in a supportive and rewarding environment, making a real difference in the lives of young learners.

Role and Responsibilities: As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students with diverse learning needs at our client school in WF5. Your main responsibilities will include:

  1. Providing one-to-one support to children with special needs, both inside and outside the classroom.
  2. Assisting the class teacher in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and making appropriate adjustments to the curriculum.
  3. Ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of pupils during school hours.
  4. Collaborating with the teaching staff and other professionals to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  5. Adapting learning materials and resources to cater to the specific needs of individual students.
  6. Encouraging and promoting children’s independence, self-confidence, and social skills.
  7. Assisting with classroom management and behaviour support strategies.
  8. Recording and monitoring progress on a daily basis.
  9. Assisting with any administrative tasks related to the role.

Requirements:

  1. Relevant experience in working with children or young adults with special educational needs is desirable.
  2. A compassionate and patient nature with a genuine interest in helping pupils overcome challenges.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
  4. A flexible and adaptable approach to cater to the varying needs of students.
  5. A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  6. Ideally, you hold a recognized qualification in special needs education, but this is not essential.
