We are looking for Passionate, Hard-working and committed Teaching Assistants to work in one our Primary SEN schools within the Didsbury area where you will play a vital role in supporting young people who have varying conditions such as Autism, PMLD and delays in Speech and language development. This will be a fantastic opportunity for someone who is forward thinking and has a nurturing approach.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will

Attend to pupil’s needs and implement related personal programmes in accordance with their EHCP

Provide 1:1 and small group interventions to support academic and social development

Encourage students to engage with others and activities

Support the class teacher in behaviour management and de-escalation

Support complex sensory needs

Build strong rapport with students

Assist in the general day-to-day classroom maintenance

A successful candidate will have

Prior experience working with children/adults who have complex sensory/physical/behavioural needs

A resilient, Patient, reliable and compassionate approach

The ability to work as a team player

The ability to be adaptable and flexible
