Job Title: Key Stage 2 (KS2) Teacher
Location: Slough, Berkshire
Position: Full-time / Permanent
Reports to: Head of Year / Headteacher
Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic KS2 Teacher to join our school in Slough. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging lessons for children aged 7 to 11, supporting their academic progress and personal development in line with the national curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality, creative lessons in line with the national curriculum for Key Stage 2.

Assess, monitor, and record pupils’ progress and attainment, providing timely feedback and reports to parents and staff.

Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning, curiosity, and respect.

Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Maintain good classroom management and behaviour, promoting a safe and supportive learning atmosphere.

Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school meetings, training, and professional development.

Prepare and support pupils for statutory assessments, including SATs.
-
Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other stakeholders to support pupils’ learning and wellbeing.

Contribute to the wider school life, including extracurricular activities, trips, and school events.

Uphold the school’s safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the welfare of all pupils.
Requirements:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
-
Proven experience teaching KS2 pupils, with strong subject knowledge across the curriculum.

Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
-
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with pupils, parents, and staff.

Commitment to continuous professional development.

Knowledge of current educational practices, assessments, and statutory requirements.

Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
