Job Title: Key Stage 2 (KS2) Teacher

Location: Slough, Berkshire
Position: Full-time / Permanent
Reports to: Head of Year / Headteacher

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic KS2 Teacher to join our school in Slough. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging lessons for children aged 7 to 11, supporting their academic progress and personal development in line with the national curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, creative lessons in line with the national curriculum for Key Stage 2.

  • Assess, monitor, and record pupils’ progress and attainment, providing timely feedback and reports to parents and staff.

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning, curiosity, and respect.

  • Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

  • Maintain good classroom management and behaviour, promoting a safe and supportive learning atmosphere.

  • Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school meetings, training, and professional development.

  • Prepare and support pupils for statutory assessments, including SATs.

  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other stakeholders to support pupils’ learning and wellbeing.

  • Contribute to the wider school life, including extracurricular activities, trips, and school events.

  • Uphold the school’s safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the welfare of all pupils.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Proven experience teaching KS2 pupils, with strong subject knowledge across the curriculum.

  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with pupils, parents, and staff.

  • Commitment to continuous professional development.

  • Knowledge of current educational practices, assessments, and statutory requirements.

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
