Teaching Personnel are working exclusively with a Preston based School which provides education and support for KS3/4 pupils with behavioural difficulties. This School is specifically for pupils with SEMH Difficulties, Autism, ADHD and Challenging behaviours. The School are hoping to appoint a Teaching Assistant with an SEN/SEMH background and a passion for working with pupils who are often disengaged from education.

The School is smaller than an average mainstream and currently has approximately 45 pupils on roll, all male, aged between 10 - 17 years of age. The School is based on the outskirts of Preston and is easily accessible via public transport and it has plenty of on site parking.

The role will be full time, School hours are 8.40am - 3.15pm and candidates must be available full time in order to apply for this role. The role will require you to work on a 1:1 and small group basis with pupils who can often display very difficult behaviours, many of the pupils are working at a lower level too therefore a good understanding of the KS2/3 curriculum would be helpful, but not essential.

The successful candidate will benefit from

- Negotiable pay rates £57 - 67 per day

- Long term position available

- Rewarding position supporting pupils with SEMH Difficulties
