PPA Teacher

PPA Cover Teacher 

I am working with a Primary School in North East Leeds near Roundhay who are looking to appoint a KS2 PPA Teacher from September. 

The Role

The school need an experienced teacher to take whole class lessons from September until the Christmas holidays at least. The role is part-time as you will be required to cover main class teachers when they are on PPA time. You will be required to work at least 3 afternoons a week initially however this could be subject to change. As a PPA Teacher you will be required to work in the afternoon on set days when other class teachers and senior leaders are off planning and preparing their lessons for the following weeks. You will need to have sound knowledge of the curriculum and be able to follow teaching plans to pick up where pupils are in learning. 

The Class

You will be working across Lower and Upper KS2 where students are on the whole able to work independently and follow instructions well. The School is a GOOD school and children's behaviour is good and well managed by their class teachers. As you will be working across a number of classes you will need to have good differentiation skills and be able to adapt to each classes learning environment. 

This part time teaching role is ideal for someone who is looking to take a step back from a senior position or full time teaching without fully leaving the education sector.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
