Job Title: PPA Cover Teacher
Location: Primary School, Burnley
Salary: Main Pay Scale (MPS) – commensurate with experience
Contract: Full-time / Part-time (to be discussed)
Start Date: September 2025

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated PPA Cover Teacher to join our friendly and supportive team at our welcoming primary school in Burnley. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are looking to gain a wide range of classroom experience across different year groups.

About the Role:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2 to provide PPA (Planning, Preparation, and Assessment) cover.

  • Adapt to a variety of classes and subjects, ensuring lessons are engaging, inclusive, and appropriately differentiated.

  • Work closely with class teachers and support staff to maintain continuity and consistency in children’s learning.

  • Contribute to our positive school ethos and uphold high standards of behaviour and achievement.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a qualified teacher (QTS required) – ECTs welcome to apply.

  • Has a flexible and proactive approach to teaching.

  • Can build positive relationships with children and staff alike.

  • Is passionate about helping all pupils achieve their full potential.

  • Brings creativity, enthusiasm, and a commitment to our school community.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
