Are you someone who’s patient, practical and genuinely wants to help?

We’re working with a specialist school in Bradford that supports pupils with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD). These young people need consistent, hands-on support in lessons and everyday routines.

As a PMLD Support Assistant, you’ll be part of a small, supportive team helping students feel safe, included and ready to learn in their own way. No two days are the same, but every day makes a difference.

What the role involves:

• Working 1:1 or in small groups with pupils who have complex needs

• Supporting learning through sensory play, music, movement and more

• Helping with personal care, including toileting, feeding and changing

• Using communication tools like symbols, switches or signs

• Working closely with teachers, therapists and support staff

• Keeping calm, consistent and positive – even on tough days

What we’re looking for:

• Some experience with SEND, care or support work (doesn’t have to be in a school)

• Someone who’s reliable, kind and good at staying calm under pressure

• Willingness to support with personal care and manual handling (training provided)

• A team player who’s happy to take direction and pitch in wherever needed

• A valid DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one

What you’ll get:

• A flexible role during term time only, with options for full time or part time

• Daily pay between £90 and £110, depending on experience
