PMLD Care Support Assistant needed in Winchester

Teaching Personnel are closely partnered with a specialist SEN school; catering for pupils aged between 2 - 18 years of age with a range of special educational needs. The school caters for pupils who require complex support, covering educational needs such as SLD, PMLD, ASC and Physical Disabilities.
One of the PMLD classes in the school now requires additional support to work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil at the secondary age level. The associated pupil is challenged with speech and language difficulties, and due to the complexity of the support applicants must have experience supporting children or adults with similar needs. Therefore, you will need to be calm and approachable, demonstrating a compassionate attitude with experience adapting to challenging situations.
Duties will include supporting pupils with their academic and personal development, however will be focused around their emotional well-being. The role is available to start immediately, so anyone with relevant experience and an update Child workforce DBS please apply.
The role will operate Monday to Friday, between 8.30am and 3.30pm. Providing an opportunity for applicants to earn between £9.00 and £10.00 per hour dependent on experience and qualifications.
