Salary: £28,385 – £41,782 per annum

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Lecturer in Plumbing to join a well-established Construction & Building Services department. This role offers the chance to inspire and support learners across a range of Plumbing programmes, delivering both practical and theoretical teaching in a modern, supportive environment.

The successful candidate will also contribute to course design and curriculum development, provide tutorial support, and help shape the growth of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across Plumbing programmes at different levels

• Develop and maintain engaging learning resources, including handouts, schemes of work and assessment materials

• Support learners with guidance, progress tracking, and feedback to help them achieve their goals

• Carry out assessment, verification and moderation processes in line with awarding body requirements

• Contribute to student recruitment and promotional activities, supporting the growth of the provision

• Maintain industry knowledge and professional practice to ensure teaching reflects sector standards

Essential Requirements:

• A minimum Level 3 vocational qualification in Plumbing

• Substantial and recent industry experience within the Plumbing sector

• Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to inspire learners of all ages and abilities

• Commitment to safeguarding and supporting learner success

Desirable:

• Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)

• Assessor or verifier qualifications (A1/V1 or equivalent)

• Experience of delivering vocational qualifications and integrating Maths & English into the curriculum
