Physics Teacher – Full Time (ASAP Start)

Location: Kirkham
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Start Date: ASAP

About the Role

A secondary school in Kirkham is seeking a passionate and dedicated Physics Teacher to join their Science department on a full-time basis, starting as soon as possible. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher or a strong ECT eager to inspire students in Key Stages 3 and 4.

You will become part of a supportive Science team committed to delivering engaging lessons, driving academic progress, and helping students develop a deep understanding and love for Physics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Physics across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering high-quality, engaging lessons
  • Plan, assess, and track student progress effectively
  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Support wider school activities and uphold the school’s values

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong subject knowledge in Physics and a solid understanding of the wider Science curriculum
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • A commitment to raising achievement and inspiring students
  • Enthusiasm, adaptability, and a collaborative working approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
