Rate of Pay: From £165 per day (Dependant on experience)
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Science to join a high‑performing Science department. You will teach across KS3 and KS4, contribute to curriculum development, and inspire students through engaging, high‑quality Science lessons.

About the role:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and well‑structured Science lessons across KS3–KS4.
- Teach Biology, Chemistry, and Physics topics in line with the national curriculum and departmental schemes of work.
- Use a range of teaching strategies and practical activities to develop scientific understanding and curiosity.
- Create a positive, safe, and well‑managed classroom environment, including safe supervision during practical experiments.
- Assess, record, and report on pupil progress through formative and summative assessment.
- Provide targeted support and challenge to ensure all students, including SEND and high attainers, make strong progress.
- Maintain high expectations of behaviour, engagement, and presentation in line with school policy.
- Contribute to curriculum development, resources, and departmental planning.
- Attend and contribute to department meetings, CPD sessions, and whole‑school initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues regarding student progress and wellbeing.
- Support students’ wider development by contributing to enrichment activities, clubs, trips, or Science‑related events.
- Uphold the school’s safeguarding, health & safety, and professional conduct expectations at all times.
What we are looking for:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 Science classes.
- Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Good communication and time‑management skills.
- A clear understanding of safeguarding and the ability to uphold it consistently.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
