Phonics Intervention Assistant

-          Full-time (09:15 – 15:15)

-          Primary school in Chorley

-          Based in Years 1 & 2

-          Training in the Little Wandle programme provided

-          Sept. 2023 start

The Head Teacher of a primary school in Chorley are looking to close the gap in their Key Stage 1 pupils’ attainment in Phonics by providing their Year 1 and 2 pupils with interventions with use of the Little Wandle Phonics programme. They are looking for a member of staff to plan and deliver these sessions, who must have either HLTA status or a Level 3 education-based qualification or above. Experience in a similar role is essential. The role will be full-time (09:15 – 15:15), Monday to Friday, and is due to start September 2023.

The school is an Ofsted graded ‘GOOD’ primary school located in a rural area of Chorley. It is smaller than the average-sized primary school and vast majority are of White British heritage. The proportion of pupils who are identified as disadvantaged and supported by the pupil premium is below the national average. The proportion of pupils who have special educational needs is below the national average.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
