A thriving, Ofsted-rated "GOOD" primary school in Islington is seeking a passionate and experienced Phase Leader and KS2 Coordinator to join their dedicated team from January 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual who is committed to driving high standards of teaching and learning across Key Stage 2 and playing a key role in the school's continued success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the KS2 phase, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, and pupil progress.
- Support the development and implementation of the KS2 curriculum in line with the school's vision and Ofsted guidelines.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and support to KS2 staff, fostering a collaborative and ambitious teaching environment.
- Monitor and track pupil progress, ensuring that all students are reaching their full potential.
- Take on a class teaching responsibility within KS2.
- Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to support whole-school improvement.
- Lead and contribute to staff meetings, INSETs, and other professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Proven experience in teaching Key Stage 2, with a strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum.
- Previous leadership or management experience, ideally as a Phase Leader, Subject Leader, or similar.
- A track record of raising standards and improving pupil outcomes.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate both staff and pupils.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to the wider life of the school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
