An Ofsted-rated GOOD primary school in Bristol is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Phase Leader and KS2 Coordinator to join its permanent staff starting in January 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated individual to contribute to a thriving school environment, working with a supportive leadership team and passionate staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a key stage phase, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning across the year groups.
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership in Key Stage 2 (KS2), promoting excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Support, mentor, and coach teachers within the phase, fostering professional development and collaborative working.
  • Monitor pupil progress and attainment, implementing interventions and strategies to enhance student outcomes.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and contribute to whole-school development initiatives and policies.
  • Maintain effective communication with staff, pupils, parents, and governors.
  • Promote an inclusive and nurturing learning environment that encourages student well-being and engagement.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Proven experience in leading a team or phase within a primary school setting.
  • A deep understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum, with evidence of delivering excellent teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff and students.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Desirable:

  • Experience in leading curriculum development.
  • A track record of improving pupil outcomes through targeted interventions.
