What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Support and assist in delivering engaging lessons.

  • Create a positive, inclusive learning environment.

  • Work across a range of age groups and subjects.

  • Support pupils with varied learning needs, including SEND.

  • Help promote the use of the Welsh language in the classroom.


What You’ll Need:

  • Fluent Welsh speaker – essential for this role.

  • Currently studying for or already hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • Child-Only Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.

  • EWC registration (Education Workforce Council).


Job Details:

  • Job Title: Welsh-Speaking Teaching Assistant / NQT / HLTA

  • Location: Newport, Caerphilly, Torfaen

  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm (Full-Time)

  • Start Date: ASAP

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
