Personal Care Assistant required in Bradford

Teaching Personnel are currently looking to appoint an individual who has the drive and passion to assist pupils with additional needs at a school within the Bradford area. The pupils have complex needs from moderate to severe learning difficulties who require very specific assistance with personal care and academic support with learning.
As a learning support assistant (LSA) you will be required to provide specific support, dependant on the individual pupils, deal with the personal care and comfort of pupils as required in relation to health, hygiene, toileting and administering of medicines and who can build up a rapport with the pupils to promote inclusion. You will be able to carry out these duties with a high level of sensitivity to pupil needs.
With 95 pupils currently on role from Early Years to Key Stage 4, the provision will eventually have 150 pupils on roll, developing over the course of the next two years.
You will be required to support a broad and balanced curriculum, highly differentiated to incorporate the needs of pupils. You must be resilient, able to effectively manage pupil behaviour and responsive to the individual needs of pupils.
An experience within a school and direct experience working with children is desired but not essential as we also look for in background knowledge in areas such as health and social care and/or youth work.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
