PERMANENT SUPPORT WORKER REQUIRED IN YEOVIL

We have an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team to support the change and reinvigoration of a SEN College .The new senior leadership team has a clear vision for growth and positive change. The College has a proud and successful tradition of supporting students between the ages of 16 - 25 that have additional learning needs and associated complex behaviours to gain valuable life skills, qualifications and confidence to support their onward journey towards independence. The new Principal and his team recognise this success and want to offer this opportunity to a wider range of young people and adults as part the ongoing developments that are taking place across all areas of the college.

They have created new opportunities for an individual to join the current team at a really exciting time, with an improved training program that provides excellent professional development opportunities for candidates who show enthusiasm, passion and commitment to the role. Successful applicants will be mentored and supported by the management team to ensure that they are guided towards achieving their personal best.

We are looking for Youth Support Workers that are:

  • Passionate about improving the lives of others;
  • Able to work a variety of shifts;
  • A positive and consistent role model to others;
  • Innovative, engaging enthusiastic and inspirational;
  • A creative thinker and implementer;
  • An excellent communicator and team player;
  • Seeking career development and training.

Shifts are on a 3 week rolling rota basis with 2 out of 3 weekends, shifts times consist of 07:30 - 16:00 (8.5 hours) and late shifts are 15:30 - 23:00 (7.5). Night shifts are 22:45 - 07:30 (8.75).
