PE Teaching Assistant - Salford

Are you a recent sports graduate looking for an exciting new challenge?

Teaching Personnel are currently looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant for one of our client schools in the Salford area to join their PE department from September 2019. This role is ideal for a sports coach or recent sports graduate who has experience working with young people.

  • Available on a full time or part time basis
  • Temporary contract for the 2019/20 academic year (September - July)
  • Earn up to £350 a week (dependent on experience)
  • Flexible working schedule

Our partner mixed comprehensive secondary school is situated in the Stretford area of Salford close to a tram stop and local to many bus routes. The school have a positive Progress 8 score of 0.11 which shows that the students enrolled at the school make at least expected progress through the hard work and dedication of the teaching and support staff. Teaching and learning is enhanced with excellent facilities throughout due to a recent expansion and refurbishment.

As a Teaching Assistant you will be working closely with students with a range of different educational needs ranging from emotional to behavioural and physical needs. This role would suit candidates from a sports background who would act as a role model to the students. Working as a Teaching Assistant is highly rewarding and includes many different responsibilities including working on a 1:1 basis, as well as with small groups. Candidates should be able to quickly build and maintain a good rapport with students, and the sports connection is usually a good way to rapidly establish a good working relationship with learners. As a Teaching Assistant within the Physical Education department, the successful candidate will assist the main class teachers in delivering both theory and physical lessons up to KS4 and across a range of sports.

If you would like to apply for this post as a Teaching Assistant, please apply via the link below or send an updated CV to Chris Beckenham at Manchester North Secondary directly, alternatively call on the number provided for further information.
