PE Teaching Assistant Opportunity in Oldham

If you are a recent sport graduate and aspire to be a PE teacher, a PE teaching assistant role can help you gain valuable experience to further your career, as you assist pupils with SEND during Physical Education lessons.

  • Get paid while gaining experience as a PE teaching assistant
  • Part time and full time hours available
  • Helping students with SEND gain additional support on a 1 to 1 basis
  • Additional training available for Sports graduates wishing to add to their qualifications or skill set
  • Successful applicants must be able to commute to Oldham area

Applicants must be a recent sports graduate with previous experience either working in a coaching role or as a teaching assistant, due to the job requiring the need to organise sports and PE sessions for students aged 11-16. They must also be competent in following health and safety policies and insuring the safety of all students involved by setting up equipment correctly.

This PE teacher assistant role is available on a part time basis working 3 days a week in the Oldham area a short distance from the junction 22 Hollinwood interchange, off the M60 motorway.

Full time hours are available for successful candidates working an extra 2 days a week as a cover supervisor or learning support assistant, helping them gain extra experience to further their career as a teacher in future.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
